TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. GENERAL

The website located at www.lalateams.com (“this website”) is copyrighted belonging to LALA Teams, Inc.

By using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. LALA Teams, Inc. may change these rates and charges at any time without notice to the Customer (includes “you”, “Shipper”, and/or “Consignee”). The following Conditions are in effect immediately.

Use of this website and its content is at your sole risk. LALA Teams, Inc. is not responsible for any direct, indirect, consequential, incidental, or other losses or damages for any errors in or the use of or inability to use this website and its content.

2. CUSTOMER TERMS

Customer must provide all information and instructions that is accurate and necessary for LALA Teams, Inc. to arrange for the transportation requested by Customer in accordance with any applicable laws, rules, regulations, or conventions. Customer will provide detailed and accurate descriptions of any Goods tendered for transportation and their accurate weights.

2.1. PROHIBITED ITEMS

        Customer shall not use LALA Teams’ service to ship the below items:

  1.  Contraband or illegal items;
  2.  Alcohol, drugs, tobacco and related products;
  3.  Hazardous or dangerous goods;
  4.  Explosives and firearms;
  5.  Human remains;
  6.  Livestock and plants;
  7.  Luxury goods including but not limited to precious metals and stones, jewelry, works of art, currency, securities, negotiable instruments, electronics;
  8.  Goods that require special handling or temperature control.

2.2. WEIGHT AND DIMENSION

       2.2.1. The maximum weight per pallet is 900 lbs. An additional handling charge will apply if pallet weight exceeds the limit.

       2.2.2. The maximum skid size is 48” x 40” x 90”. An additional handling charge will apply if the pallet dimension exceeds the limit.

2.3. LOADING/UNLOADING TIME ALLOWANCE

       2.3.1. For shipments of 1 pallet, the allowance for loading/unloading is 15 minutes.

       2.3.2. For shipment of 2 to 5 pallets, the allowance for loading/unloading is 20 minutes.

       2.3.3. For shipment of 6 to 11 pallets, the allowance for loading/unloading is 25 minutes.

       2.3.4. For shipment of 12 to 18 pallets, the allowance for loading/unloading is 35 minutes.

       2.3.5. For shipment of 18 pallets to a full truckload, the allowance for loading/unloading is 45 minutes

2.4. LTL RATES

       2.4.1. Freight quotes are based on dock high loading (48” from the ground). Pallet rates are calculated based on actual driving distance and are subject to fuel surcharge when applicable.

       2.4.2. All quotes and associated charges do not include any state or harmonized sales taxes, or other use or value-added taxes, duties, or similar charges. Shipper will be liable for such taxes, duties or charges.

       2.4.3. Rates and charges are subject to change without notice to Customer. Service is subject to availability. For special needs, please inquire in advance to obtain a custom quote.

3. ACCESSORIAL CHARGES

Additional fees assessed on a shipment, due to additional services requested by Customer, or consignee of the LALA Teams beyond the normal services included in the LALA Teams’ gross price including pickup, and delivery service.

3.1. APPOINTMENT REQUEST

When instructions or requests are made to LALA Teams to schedule an appointment or otherwise establish a specific time for the pick-up or delivery of a shipment, the charge for this service shall be $30 per appointment. LALA Teams will have an allowance of ONE HOUR before/after the appointment time to pick up/deliver.

3.2. SHIPMENT CHANGES

       3.2.1. $25 will be charged for each approved change in the origin or destination BEFORE the shipment has been arranged for dispatched. Any changes to the origin or destination requested by Customer MUST BE APPROVED by LALA Teams. Click here to submit your shipment change request.

However, LALA Teams does not guarantee or accept liability if it is unable to implement the change.

       3.2.2. $50 will be charged for shipment cancellation with less than 24-hour notice. Dry run charges may apply if the shipment has already been dispatched.

3.3. DRY-RUN

For any shipment that is cancelled or unavailable AFTER dispatch of the power unit or after dropping of empty equipment of loading, which is not used by shipper, LALA Teams will charge 75% of the total freight.

3.4. DETENTION

When LALA Team’s driver is detained by shipper or consignee, LALA Teams will charge $25 for each 15 minutes period beyond the time allowance (see section 2.3).  

3.5. LIFTGATE SERVICE

When shipper or consignee is required or requested to employ hydraulic lifting or lowering devices to accomplish pickup or delivery of the goods to or from LALA Teams’ vehicle, an additional charge of $65 will be applied.

3.6. OVERWEIGHT SHIPMENTS

LALA Teams has the right (but not the obligation) to have any pallet weighted if we become aware that the pallet is overweight. Shipper is responsible for all associated costs, including but not limited to storage, detention and redelivery charges.

3.7. OVERSIZE SHIPMENTS

Shipper is responsible for any fines, expenses, violations, delays, costs and accidents resulting from any shipment considered over width or over length in violation of safe handling rules and applicable federal, state laws. LALA Teams reserves the right to assess additional handling fee on oversize pallets.

3.8. STORAGE

       3.8.1. Freight held in LALA Teams’ possession because of fault or mistake of shipper or the consignee, or if the shipper advises and instructs LALA Teams to stop movement of the freight and to hold it in transit, will be considered stored immediately.

       3.8.2. Storage charges on undelivered pallet(s) will begin at 6:00 A.M. the first business day and will accrue every day thereafter including Holiday and weekends.

       3.8.3. The daily charge for this service will be $5.00 per pallet. Maximum stored for 3 days, and shipment will be considered abandoned after.   

3.9. REDELIVERY

When a shipment is tendered for delivery and, through no fault of the LALA Teams, such delivery cannot be accomplished, additional tender, or final delivery of the shipments made to consignee’s place, 150% additional charge based on whole freight will be applied.

4. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the Customer and LALA Teams regarding the use of the Service. Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this Agreement shall not operate as a waiver of such right or provision. The section titles in this Agreement are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect. No modifications of this contract shall be binding upon LALA Teams unless in writing and signed by LALA Teams.
